Constructed in 1841 the original residential building was completed redesigned in the Belle Epoque style between 1888 and 1897. This original character of the Belle Époque has found here extraordinary expression and has been preserved in a consistent and harmonious way. Large parts of the building were created by the Bohemian painter Ludek Marold who lived on the top floor until 1898. His splendid frescoes on their own convey to the observer that exuberant Joie de Vivre of the beautiful epoch and its love of creativity to the smallest detail. The 61 spacious deluxe double rooms and 11 suites with their elegant and homely ambience and their luxurious, generous marble bathrooms offer first class accommodation. The 11 suites have been lovingly restored and are furnished individually, true to style (some even with their own fireplace), with a splendid view of Prague. All rooms are provided with the most modern equipment which has been carefully integrated to preserve the ambience and the style of the 19th Century: Air conditioning, direct dialling phone, PC connection, TV, DVD player and safe.
